Qi Wireless Charger Range

Qi (pronounced "Chee") is an interface standard developed by the Wireless Power Consortium for inductive electrical power transfer over distances of up to 4 cm (1.6 inches).

The Qi system comprises a power transmission pad and a compatible receiver in a portable device. To use the system, the mobile device is placed on top of the power transmission pad, which charges it via electromagnetic induction.

Most manufacturers are already making their devices Qi ready. Models already available in Australia include Nokia Lumia 920, Google Nexus and HTC 8X.

Master Instruments has introduced a Qi transmitter pad (model number CHCR-QIAT) to the Enecharger range which will be compatible with all "Qi Ready" and "Qi Enabled" devices.

QI Enabled devices can be easily updated to Qi Ready with the addition of a receiver. The enecharger range includes these solutions (via internal receiver or jacket cover) compatible with the following devices:

Apple iPhone 4/S CHCR-QIA4R
Apple iPhone 5/C/S CHCR-QIA5R
Samsung Galaxy S3 CHCR-QISG3R
Samsung Galaxy S4 CHCR-QISG4R
Samsung Galaxy Note2 CHCR-QISGN2R
Samsung Galaxy Note3 CHCR-QISGN3R
