LSP14250-70F 1/2AA size Saft hybrid primary lithium cell (bobbin type) assembled in parallel with a 70 Farad LIC
Saft's Li-SOCl2 range provides high energy, high voltage, high pulse capability, long life, wide temperature range (-60°C to +85°C). The LS cell product range has been independently assessed and tested to the relevant parts of IEC 60079-0 and IEC 60079-11 in the IECEx system. This allows them to be considered for applications in hazardous locations and potentially explosive atmospheres.
The hybrid LSP range consists of a LS bobbin cell assembled in parallel with a pulse support component — an LIC (Lithium Ion Capacitor)
The hybrid construction adds the advantage of the high current pulse capability of the LIC to the high energy density (capacity) of the Li-SOCl2 cell. Effectively, this ‘best of both worlds’ approach meets the high pulse and long lifetime requirements of the smart metering and internet of things (IoT) markets.
