Pre-Charge Cable to precharge capacitors in Victron Energy Inverters & Solar Controllers ASS070400100
The Pre-charge Cable allows internal capacitors of an Inverter, Inverter/Charger or MPPT to be pre-charged via the DC terminals before connecting the battery.
This method ensures that connecting the battery will not result in arcing at the connection point.
The pre-charge time for a MultiPlus-II 48/5000 when using the Pre-Charge Cable is less than a second. Larger systems will take longer to pre-charge. The largest system targeted with the Pre-charge Cable is a 3-Unit system with MultiPlus(-II) or Quattro(-II). For larger systems, several Pre-Charge Cables can be used in parallel, individual units can be pre-charged and connected to the battery at one time.
