Sieltec VG-AGS-1

The Sieltec VG-AGS-1 is a programmable generator start interface that sits between a Victron CerboGX (or similar battery management controller) and a marine or stationary generator.

It converts the single relay contact closure output of the CerboGX into the correctly timed start and stop pulses required by the generator — removing the need for discrete timer relays and the associated custom wiring that would otherwise be required for each installation.

The device was developed specifically to solve a recurring installation problem: connecting the CerboGX's relay output to generators such as the Cummins Onan and Kohler marine gensets, which require distinct timed pulses rather than a simple sustained contact closure.

The VG-AGS-1 packages that function cleanly into a compact, panel-mount enclosure with a simple front-panel programming interface, a manual start/stop test function, and a dedicated disable button — ideal for vessels being lifted from the water where an inadvertent autostart of a water-cooled generator must be prevented.

Please Note: The AGS-1 does not detect whether the generator has successfully started, does not retry on a failed start, and does not monitor generator alarms. It is a pulse interface only.

The VG-1BM can be used in conjunction with a Victron Energy GX device to also provide additional information to those systems.
